Family Day

Yesterday, I (Jarret) took the day off to spend some time with my wife and daughter and to finish up our Christmas shopping. We very much looked forward to spending some time with each other during a work day, but the day exceeded even our high expectations.

Here are my highlights:

- Getting to sleep in
- Seeing and waking up my baby girl in the morning
- My first time dropping my sweet Jewels off at school
- Learning more about our new iMac at our One-to-One at the Apple Store
- Finding great joy in picking out some stocking stuffers for my baby Julia
- Sharing a wonderful meal at Red Lobster with my lovely bride
- Picking up my sweet Princess from school
- Taking a family trip to the local park to enjoy the weather
- Snapping pictures of my precious daughter living it up at the playground
- Eating Taco C while watching a new movie at home with my wife

What an awesome day. The local park action took place at Heights Park in Richardson. We had never been there, but we were definitely impressed with all that it had to offer. Julia had the time of her life as did I getting to try and capture her joy. It was one of the better days we've had in a long time. See, this further proves that good things happen when you don't go to work!

Here are some shots from the park:

  1. I LOVE that first shot with her peekabooing around the slide. When I think of Julia smiling, that's what she looks like in my head and how I remember her. And oh my gosh that child's hair is growing like crazy. She's really close to not looking like a baby anymore. sniff. Love you three!
